The Queens Birthday Flypast Rehearsal Tuesday 7th June 2016

The Flypast at 1300L will take place at College Hall, RAF Cranwell

Should weather force postponement they have planned 1300L on Wednesday the 8th and Thursday the 9th in Reserve

Usually do not Practice:
9 Red Arrows: Instead 1 Red Arrows Hawk will fly near to formation to provide position information under callsign “AGGRESSOR”
BBMF Spitfire & Hurricane: I think the “MEMORIAL” Callsign is being used to Stand-in for the BBMF Aircraft

Actual: Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Flypast

The practice is for Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Flypast on 11 June 2016 at 1300L (with 1700L in Reserve) where the formation that practices today will join The Red Arrows & any Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Aircraft.

    When are they likely to be over Colchester? We’re in the flight path and have seen previous formations come over and don’t want to miss this one!

      Steve, As I read the maps you might see them on Sunday. Colchester is not on the Rehearsal route.

      I believe they leave the hold 30mins before the flypast time

    Will we see them from Lowestoft? It’s in the boxed area. Not sure what that is for.

    I read somewhere that afterwards they fly on to Exeter? Do they – if so, by what route, please? We live near the Defence Academy at Shrivenham.
